Choo Choo: Performing Group in New York

About Choo Choo

Choo Choo is an electronic group heard in New York City rooms such as Purgatory, where their sets are built for close listening as much as for movement. On bills with artists including DJ TK, Porcelain Vivisection, Clown Syndrome, Uncle Blender, Consumer Culture, Grace Givertz, Adelyn Strei, and Hannah Thompson, they move between programmed pulse and open-ended improvisation. Their approach treats the club system as an instrument, shaping texture and timing in real time. The results favor structure over spectacle.
