Benoit Pioulard: Performing Artist in New York

About Benoit Pioulard

Benoit Pioulard is the performance name of Thomas Meluch, an American multi-instrumentalist whose work also extends into writing and photography. In New York City he has appeared at Cassette, including late-night electronic bills such as WESTERLUND/HAGEN and the NUKE WATCH program. His sets move through electronic structures with an attention to texture and pacing, often treating sound like a narrative surface rather than a showcase. In shared lineups with artists including Carlos Truly and Key Hutch, his performances favor atmosphere over spectacle.
