Lil Peep: Hip-Hop Artist in New York

About Lil Peep

Lil Peep was an American rapper whose recordings bridged emo-rap and cloud-rap with R&B-leaning hip-hop, built around diaristic lyrics and a spare, melodic delivery. Across albums, mixtapes, and EPs—along with a substantial body of releases issued after his death—his catalog traces a consistent interest in vulnerability and self-mythology. His writing favors direct address over studio gloss, often treating pop hooks like confessions. In New York City, the Lil Peep 30th Birthday Celebration at Brooklyn Paramount reframes that work in a live-venue context.
