Las Áñez: Rock Band in New York

About Las Áñez

Las Áñez is the project of Colombian twin sisters Juanita and Valentina Áñez Rothmann, who have worked together as a duo since 2013. Their songwriting draws on Latin folk materials and a pop vocabulary, shaped for close harmony and a shared voice rather than a rotating band format. In New York City, they appear at Queens Theatre in a listing that places them between Plays and Rock/Pop, reflecting an interest in performance as both concert and staged scene. Their work favors narrative clarity over spectacle.
