Galileo: Theater Company in New York

About Galileo

Galileo is a stage group working in the Broadway musical tradition, currently presenting *Galileo* at New York City’s Shubert Theatre. The production takes its subject from the astronomer and early scientist Galileo Galilei, framing his ideas and conflicts through straightforward theatrical storytelling. Their score folds in contemporary Japanese pop and rock touchstones, with references that echo anime, j-pop, j-rock, and Japanese indie scenes. The company’s approach favors narrative clarity over spectacle, keeping the focus on text, character, and rhythm.
