About David Zaks Trio
The David Zaks Trio is a New York City jazz group heard at Ornithology Jazz Club, working in the small-room tradition where interplay matters as much as repertoire. The trio’s circle includes collaborations with Todd Herbert, Jeremy Manasia, Jason Clotter, Larry Banks, Anthony Pearlman, Brent Lerman, Jules Gardener, and Charlie Lincoln. Their sets favor tight structures and clear melodic lines, leaving space for conversational improvisation. Recent appearances place them in the ongoing nightly lineup of live performances at Ornithology.
