Hector Martignon Trio: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Hector Martignon Trio

The Hector Martignon Trio is led by pianist and composer Hector Martignon, a New York–based musician born in Colombia with Italian heritage. The group brings together jazz improvisation, Latin American forms, Afro-Cuban rhythm, and traces of European classical writing, a mix also reflected in Martignon’s recorded work, including the Grammy-nominated album *Refuge*. In New York, the trio appears at The Django. Their performances favor structure and melodic clarity, with rhythmic detail doing much of the storytelling.
