Daniels and Baker: Performing Group in New York

About Daniels and Baker

Daniels and Baker is a New York City–based group heard most often at Freddy’s Bar, where they move through bluegrass and newgrass material in an open-mic ecosystem. They have shared bills with recurring community nights including Mimsey’s Open Mic, Humans Against Music, the Monday and Wednesday Comedy Open Mics, and the monthly storytelling series “So What Happened Was...,” along with local showcases like Highland Shatner’s St. Pat’s Show. Their approach favors ensemble interplay and plainspoken arranging over studio polish. On Spotify, they appear under newgrass and bluegrass, with a small but growing listener base.
