Chief Keef: Hip-Hop Artist in New York

About Chief Keef

Chief Keef is a Chicago rapper and producer whose early mixtapes, released while he was still a teenager, helped bring drill from local scenes into broader view. His writing favors blunt, compressed phrases, set against production that leans on heavy low end and sparse melodic shapes. The work is defined by prolific output and an emphasis on tone and momentum over narrative detail. In New York City, he brings that sound to stages such as The Rooftop at Pier 17.
