Amulet: Rock Band in New York

About Amulet

Amulet is a rock-leaning group whose sound pulls from heavier strains of metal, including metalcore, mathcore, and deathcore. The project traces back to the New Jersey orbit of Amulet Records, a label founded in the mid-1990s by percussionist-composer and visual artist Billy Martin, and it carries that percussion-forward, experimental lineage into a band setting. In New York City they’ve appeared at Brooklyn’s Market Hotel, sharing bills with Slamwich, Ashes at Last, If Bullets Could Talk, and Ursa. Their songs favor structure and impact over polish, with rhythm doing much of the narrative work.
