Craig Wuepper Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Craig Wuepper Quartet

The Craig Wuepper Quartet is a jazz group heard on New York City bandstands, including sets at Smalls Jazz Club. The ensemble’s personnel overlaps with drummer Jerome Jennings’ circle, with ties to the Jerome Jennings Quartet and related engagements. Their work centers on small-group interaction, with a premium on time, listening, and clean transitions between written material and open improvisation. The playing favors clarity over spectacle, letting the rhythm section shape the narrative as solos unfold.
