Shimza x Nathan Leong’s Birthday | “Jungle Galactica”: Performing Artist in New York

About Shimza x Nathan Leong’s Birthday | “Jungle Galactica”

Shimza x Nathan Leong’s Birthday | “Jungle Galactica” is a club-night pairing built around South African DJ and producer Shimza (Kholofelo Ashley Raphala) and DJ Nathan Leong, presented at Somewhere Nowhere NYC. Shimza began making music in Tembisa as a teenager and later issued his debut album *Shimuzic* on Soulistic Music in 2015. The event frames a birthday set as a shared bill, with Leong positioned as a close counterpoint in the room. The programming favors sustained groove and scene-specific pacing over spectacle.
