Deakin is the solo moniker of Joshua Caleb Dibb, a co-founder of Animal Collective whose appearances within the group have been intermittent across its catalog. His solo work, including the album *Sleep Cycle*, leans into neo-psychedelic rock and pop with handmade textures and open-ended song structures. In New York City he brings that approach to rooms like LPR (Le Poisson Rouge), where the focus tends to be on sound and arrangement rather than spectacle. Between projects, he has also worked as a carpenter, a practical counterweight to his studio experimentation.
