Darkness Shrugs is a New York City–based group that’s become part of the live circuit at Freddy’s Bar, moving between open mics, mixed bills, and rotating collaborative sets. They’ve shared lineups with recurring Freddy’s programs including Mimsey’s Open Mic, Humans Against Music, the Monday and Wednesday Comedy Open Mic, and the monthly storytelling series “So What Happened Was…”. Their appearances also include community nights like Highland Shatner’s St. Pat’s Show and the Original Music Open Mic hosted by Luke. Their performances favor ensemble responsiveness over spectacle.
