About Sputnik

Sputnik is an emerging New York City group heard most often at Freddy’s Bar, moving through the venue’s open-mic ecosystem alongside nights like Mimsey’s Open Mic, Humans Against Music, and the Monday/Wednesday comedy rooms. They’ve also appeared in local fixtures including “So What Happened Was…,” Highland Shatner’s St. Pat’s Show, and the Original Music Open Mic hosted by Luke, with sets orbiting the Eagle Colt Combo on fourth Sundays. Their approach favors community-forward programming and repetition over spectacle, using small stages to test material and refine it in public.
