About Taking Back Sunday

Taking Back Sunday is a rock band formed in Amityville, Long Island in 1999, emerging from the emo and post-hardcore circuits that shaped New York-area punk in the early 2000s. The current core centers on vocalist Adam Lazzara with John Nolan and Shaun Cooper, joined onstage by guitarist Nathan Cogan and drummer Mitchell Register. Their Brooklyn Paramount appearance places them in a familiar lineage of touring peers, including Thrice and Saves the Day. Their songs favor sing-along melody, but the performances lean into friction and momentum over polish.
