About Ilhan Erşahin

İlhan Erşahin is a Swedish-Turkish jazz musician and club owner who has worked out of New York City since 1990, after growing up in Stockholm. His career has unfolded through a series of self-led ensembles and concepts, including Wax Poetic, Love Trio, and Istanbul Sessions. At Nublu, he often builds late-night sets around small-group interplay, as in his appearances with bassist Yusuke Yamamoto and drummer Gintas Janusonis. The music tends to favor momentum and texture over display.
