About Lather!

Lather! is a New York City–based group working at the seam between rock/pop songcraft and open-form playing. They appear in downtown bills like Purgatory’s DOWNSTAIRS: Level Up — Video Game Club, where sets often share space with textural electronics and free improvisation. On stage they’ve crossed paths with DJ TK, Porcelain Vivisection, Clown Syndrome, Uncle Blender, Consumer Culture, Grace Givertz, Adelyn Strei, and Hannah Thompson. Their performances favor momentum and quick shifts over polish or spectacle.
