LAVA: Performing Group in New York

About LAVA

LAVA is a DJ group heard in New York City’s late-night circuit, with sets presented at Purgatory. Their work moves between DJ practice and freer, room-responsive performance, fitting bills that mix electronic pacing with basement-facing improvisation, including PriDE MONth III. They have shared lineups with DJ TK, Porcelain Vivisection, Clown Syndrome, Uncle Blender, Consumer Culture, Grace Givertz, Adelyn Strei, and Hannah Thompson. The project favors tempo control and atmosphere over spectacle, occasionally pulling reggae contours into a club framework.
