Floating is the performance name of British electronic producer and DJ Samuel Shepherd, whose work moves between IDM, ambient jazz, and gnawa-inflected rhythm. He has built parts of his catalog through his own Pluto Records and the label collective Eglo, and he also writes for a larger 16-piece ensemble format when the material calls for it.
