About ADULT.

ADULT. is a Detroit electronic duo formed in 1998 by Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller. Both come from visual art training—Kuperus in photography and Miller in painting—and that background shows in their spare, image-forward approach to sound. Their sets weave deadpan vocals through drum machines and analog synthesizers, drawing on electroclash, cold wave, darkwave, and EBM. In New York City they appear at Good Room, sharing the bill with Donzii and The Treasury; the music favors structure over spectacle.
