Christopher Normann is a New York City–based artist working in the overlap between free improvisation and indie jazz. At Cassette, he has appeared in the venue’s KARAOKE NIGHT series, where familiar song structures function more like prompts than fixed repertoire. He has performed alongside Carlos Truly, Dhemo, Key Hutch, Miles Hewitt, Andy Nicholl, Drawl, Slow Down Sunny, and Untitled Freak, moving through small-room collaborations and shifting lineups. His performances favor pacing and texture over display, with close attention to the acoustics and mood of the room.
