HOOKDREAM is a New York City–based solo artist who performs regularly in the open‑mic circuit at Freddy’s Bar. Their work has appeared alongside Mimsey’s Open Mic (music, comedy, and poetry), Humans Against Music, and the venue’s weekly comedy mics, moving between song, spoken word, and stage banter depending on the room. They have also shared bills with the monthly storytelling series “So What Happened Was...,” where narrative structure matters as much as punchlines. The performances favor directness over spectacle, using the open‑mic format as a testing ground.
