About MEPS

MEPS is a New York City–based group working in free-form improvisation, with appearances at Cassette. The project moves between open-ended structures and noise-adjacent electronics, often in dialogue with the room and the night’s broader program. They have shared bills with artists including Miles Hewitt, Andy Nicholl, Drawl, Slow Down Sunny, Untitled Freak, Wulfer, Ross Newhouse, and Malachi Elijah, including sets tied to Cassette’s MARTINI MONDAYS: JON MENGES TRIO. Their performances favor responsiveness over polish, letting texture and timing do the work.
