Buga: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Buga

Buga is a Rock/Pop artist whose New York City appearances include sets at The Bowery Ballroom and Alphaville. Their work sits between club-ready pop and guitar-led songwriting, a range reflected in bills shared with In the Pines and Wyyrrd. At Alphaville, the program placed Buga’s “Lo Lo Lo,” a Nigerian pop single that became a global streaming and Shazam outlier, alongside a 19th-century American folk standard. Onstage, Buga tends toward direct phrasing and steady momentum over spectacle.
